In 1904, Alpha Kappa Psi was founded on the principles of educating its members and the public to appreciate and demand higher ideals in business and to further the individual welfare of members during college and beyond.

Alpha Kappa Psi is much more than just another organization or club—it is a unique, prestigious association of students, professors, graduates and professionals with common interests and goals. Alpha Kappa Psi provides valuable educational, friendship and networking opportunities.

Founded in 1999, the Pi Tau Chapter of AKPsi is the premier co-ed business fraternity in the Bay Area. We are a group of students interested in business-related careers and teach our members professional skills. Members of the Pi Tau chapter are multi-faceted and come from diverse backgrounds and majors, including engineering, humanities and sciences.

1. To further the individual welfare of its members;
2. To foster scientific research in the fields of commerce, accounts and finance;
3. To educate the public to appreciate and demand higher ideals therein; and
4. To promote and advance in institutions of college rank, courses leading to degrees in business administration.

Our brotherhood, which stands about 60 members strong, not only fosters a community that strives for professional success but also fosters a community that comes together to create an unparalleled social fabric in the midst of an ever-changing student body.
